Project Preface
Bangladesh is one of the nations that is impacted by the climate, and at the moment, the country is very concerned about the issue. Due to the rapid pace of climate change, Bangladesh has been deemed one of the world’s most vulnerable nations.
Sea surface water levels are rising as a result of global warming, and salt water from the sea is penetrating farther inland, harming crops. The nation is more vulnerable to climate change due to its underdeveloped economy, disorganized infrastructure, lack of social development, inadequate institutional capacity, and overdependence on natural resources. Compared to other regions of the country, the income of those who live along the coast is declining. It is crucial to raise the standard of living for coastal rural residents in order to prevent them from migrating in significant numbers to cities due to decreased incomes brought on by climate change and putting further strain on urban services.
The process of effectively adjusting to and lessening the effects of climate change is called adaptation (risks and disasters). To put it another way, adaptation is adjusting to a challenging environment. Vulnerable individuals might lessen their susceptibility by adapting. Dealing with natural catastrophes and opportunities Adaptation tries to adjust to the challenging environment and minimize risks through long-term planning by taking advantage of the advantages. So now we need to learn to adapt to climate change and work on how to mitigate water and air changes and for this reason, SESDO implemented this project to effectively adapt to climate change.
Significance
Climate change is now a curse for the whole world, including Bangladesh. Every year, due to the effect of climate change, various types of wild storms, floods, and heavy rains are happening in our country, causing damage to our quality of life and our property, vehicles, and everything else. Everything is going towards destruction, which is why we have this project. Its magnitude, scope, and importance are very high. Especially the people living near the sub-clan are expressing doubts about their denial; they are living a miserable life today and spending a lot of money for two meals a day. And climate change is mostly responsible for this.
Project Purposes
- To stand by the people of the coast and help them in various kinds of danger.
- Providing them with food, shelter, and proper care of their resources during various natural calamities
- To provide them with alternative employment.
- To impart training to women on various types of work resources at home.
- Giving special attention to and monitoring the children’s education program.
