We’re thrilled to share that our Mangroves4Life initiative has successfully expanded mangrove restoration to another 0.75 hectares of degraded coastal land in Gabura Union, Satkhira District.

Planting Activities (Expansion Phase):

  • Site Size: 0.75 hectares
  • Planting date: 21 September 2025
  • Species: 7 local mangrove species
  • Total saplings planted: 300
  • Planting layout: Cluster & gap filling

This new phase builds on our earlier achievement of 0.54 hectares restored, marking a total of 1.29 hectares now under active restoration!

From women to youth, everyone is coming together with one voice: “Mangrove Restoration”. Together, we’re restoring mangroves, building climate resilience, protecting the Sundarbans, supporting sustainable livelihoods, and securing a safer, empowered future for coastal communities.
