Mangroves4Life: CBEMR Progress & Proof of Impact | August 2025 → February 2026

Just six months ago, 1.29 hectares of coastal land in Gabura Union, Bangladesh were degraded and highly vulnerable to climate impacts.

Today, the same landscape is alive with thriving mangroves, protecting coastlines, restoring biodiversity, and strengthening local livelihoods.

This transformation was achieved by SESDO through Community-Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration (CBEMR), led by local women and youth, guided by science, and rooted in community stewardship.

As a Green Earth Action Foundation Ambassador, I am truly proud of this progress. This is real, community-led climate action delivering tangible impact on the ground.

Impact at a glance:
* Coastlines are naturally protected from erosion and storms
* Biodiversity is beginning to recover
* Women and youth are leading restoration efforts
* Climate-resilient livelihoods are being strengthened

This is not just a pilot project.

This is proof that community-led nature-based solutions work.

We are now seeking international partners, donors, and collaborators to scale Mangroves4Life across the Sundarbans and other climate-vulnerable coastal regions.

Let’s restore ecosystems and build resilience together.
