We are live on Ma Earth
From one of the most climate vulnerable coastal regions of Bangladesh, SESDO and the local communities of Gabura Union are honored to share that Mangroves4Life has been selected from more than 800 projects worldwide to participate in Ma Earth Funding Round 3.
Here, mangroves are not just trees.
* They are protection from cyclones, storm surges, erosion, and rising seas.
* They are biodiversity.
* They are livelihoods.
* They are life itself for our coastal communities.
Through Community-Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration (CBEMR), we are restoring degraded coastal ecosystems by working with nature and with the people who depend on it most.
Our approach focuses on restoring natural tidal flows, planting the right species in the right places, and building long term community stewardship led by local women and young people.
Today, we are already seeing change.
* Young mangroves are taking root.
* Biodiversity is beginning to return.
* Communities are becoming more resilient.
But this is still only the beginning.
For the 2026 restoration season, we aim to raise USD 15,000 to continue and expand this work.
From 1–21 July, every contribution to our campaign can unlock additional matching funds through Ma Earth’s collective funding model. Here, impact grows not only through the size of a donation, but through the number of people who stand together.
If you believe that local communities should lead nature restoration, we invite you to be part of this journey.

You can donate, share, or simply help us spread the word.
Thank you to the Ma Earth community, our host partner YPARD, and everyone who believes that lasting restoration begins with those who live closest to the land.
Together, we are restoring the Sundarbans, one mangrove, one community, and one shared future at a time.
