Project Name: To Help Rural Women Reduce Poverty
| SDGs | ![]() |
Preface of the Project:
Women’s empowerment actually refers to the growth of women’s identity, safety, individuality, freedom of choice, etc. on a material and intellectual level. In other words, if a woman has the freedom to make her own decisions and can act safely in her own way or at work, that environment is referred to as one that supports women. Empowerment does indeed come from the mind. There won’t be any more barriers to women’s empowerment if all of the society’s men and women act generously without viewing one another as their rivals. However, historically speaking, women continue to be denied their full rights in our social system and are disadvantaged in a variety of ways. SESDO is committed to advancing women’s social rights and achieving financial independence through this project.

Significance of the project
Women’s empowerment is today a progressive moral social philosophy and a crucial component of national success in the industrialized world, where it is no longer a topic of controversy. However, women’s empowerment still presents a problem for a developing nation like Bangladesh and is hampered by numerous barriers. Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman guaranteed equal rights and equal rights to all citizens at all levels of the state structure under the law in Bangladesh’s 72nd Constitution to consolidate equal rights and women’s empowerment. This was done in order to incorporate this woman’s empowerment into a strong and social development structure in Bangladesh. But even after 50 years of freedom, we were unable to guarantee women’s complete rights. And we, along with our social system, are to blame. Despite this, we continue to view the women in our family with various forms of neglect due to their unstable financial situations. Women will strengthen our social system and become financially independent at home if we can help them achieve financial independence. Therefore, it is undoubtedly true that women’s empowerment is crucial in this digital age.

Objectives
Women in our country’s towns today are fully aware of their rights, actively involved in a variety of activities, financially secure, and regarded as a blessing by society. The situation is entirely different for women in our village, who continue to live in a traditional manner and are utterly reliant on men for survival. There are many reasons for women’s empowerment such as social, economic, political, religious, lack of education, discriminatory policies and denial of women’s family work. Therefore, it is important to educate women about their rights in order to support the financial success of rural women. Everyone should be made aware that women should never be viewed as a barrier to men. The workplace must stop discriminating against women in wages. Both the rights afforded to women in religious traditions and those guaranteed by the Constitution should be respected. Women should likewise be protected in every aspect of state life. Legal aid should be provided immediately. The fact that women shouldn’t be required to stay at home due to social preconceptions should also be made abundantly known to everyone. If they have trouble going out, they should be taught how to play a part. If going outside is a challenge, individuals should be taught how to participate in the growth of society while staying at home. Higher education for women is necessary.

- Women should be made aware of becoming financially conscious.
- Donate various materials like sewing machines, handicrafts so that rural women can be financially successful at home.
- Giving them various trainings on how to become financially independent at home.
