300 youth. One mission. A greener future.
Under the GEAF Ambassador Programme, this initiative was led by Tapas Kumar Mollick, GEAF Ambassador and Executive Director of SESDO, during 4.29 Green Earth Action Day 2026 in coastal Bangladesh.
SESDO provided volunteer support and technical assistance to help make this youth-led climate action possible.
On 29 April, nearly 300 students, teachers, and community members came together at Khalishkhali Saiva Balika Vidyalaya in one of the worldโs most climate-vulnerable regions, not just to talk about change, but to act.
From climate education to plastic cleanup and tree planting, this was youth-led action at its best. A defining highlight was the Tree Ownership Model, where each participant became a guardian of their own tree, turning awareness into long-term responsibility.
This is what real climate action looks like in the Sundarbans.
Local. Youth-driven. Impactful.
We are committed to reaching 5,000 students with 5,000 trees by 2030.
Grateful to the Green Earth Action Foundation for this opportunity to contribute to a global youth movement.
